Town of Bridgewater

• Trails located in Town parks are now closed to the public to ensure compliance with Provincial Order re: municipal park closures.

• Bridgewater Transit is temporarily waiving fares/fees to use Bridgewater Transit until further notice. Additionally, transit service will now be operating under slightly reduced hours, with service from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

• Town Hall is now closed to the public to limit the spread of COVID-19 (effective March 19, 2020) until further notice.

• Select Town of Bridgewater public offices (Finance, Community Development, and Engineering) are operating with reduced staff at this time, with many staff members under work-from-home programs.

• Effective immediately, delegations to Town Council are suspended until further notice. There will also be no public access to the gallery during regular meetings of Town Council until further notice – Town Council meetings will continue to be live-streamed to the public via Facebook, so long as staff resources remain available to do so.

• Meetings of Town of Bridgewater committees will be suspended until further notice.

• Bill payments, such as water bills, that are normally payable at the Town Hall Finance office can be paid online or can be submitted by traditional mail or via the drop box at Town Hall.

• Bill payments and municipal tax bill payments can also be made to the Town of Bridgewater through local banks.

• Limited access to Town Hall is available to the public, however members of the public should call ahead before coming to Town Hall.

• All Town of Bridgewater playgrounds and parks are closed to the public. This closure also includes Bridgewater Skate Park and the South Shore Vet Dog Zone dog park. Town recreation facilities, such as softball and soccer fields, are considered to be parks and are, therefore, also closed to the public at this time.

• Effective immediately, taxi licenses will be extended for a period of 30 days.
