Reminder: Accessibility Foundations Train the Trainer Opportunity
The Accessibility Directorate is pleased to share an opportunity to engage in our Accessibility Foundations Train the Trainer program this fall. We piloted this workshop series in the spring and hope to build the capacity of trainers across the province. Individuals who complete this workshop will be trained to deliver the Accessibility Foundations workshop to organizations that have legislative requirements under Nova Scotia’s Accessibility Act.
The Accessibility Foundations Train the Trainer program includes a 2-module, live, facilitated, virtual workshop series. You must be available to attend both modules. Ideally two people from one organization will attend to provide ongoing support and co-facilitation capacity. If more than one person from your organization wants to participate, each individual must apply separately.
Please complete the following application form to request participation in the workshop.
The application deadline is Wednesday, November 1, 4 pm.
- Module 1- Thursday, November 30, 1-3:30 pm
- Module 2- Thursday, December 7, 1-3:30 pm

Ongoing support for trainers
The Directorate will facilitate bi-monthly virtual workshops in January, and March so trainers can connect, ask questions, and continue to add to their toolkit of skills and knowledge. We will share more information upon completion of the cohort.
About the application
The application has 22 questions and takes approximately 7 minutes to complete. There is an option to save the application and continue it later. If you would like support completing the application form, please contact Corrie Melanson at info@seachangecolab.com or 902-802-8558.
Space in the workshop is limited. Applying does not guarantee you a spot in the workshop. All applicants will be contacted by November 8 to inform them whether they have been selected to participate in the workshop. We thank all applicants. There will be future iterations of this workshop.
